Billing Tracker was created as a minimilist solution for small business owners and consultants who need to track hours accurately, but don't want the financial and cognitive overhead imposed by more full-featured applications.
Bllable work is tracked in 15-minute increments by clicking or dragging across cells on a timetable. Projects can store client details, hourly rates, deposits, colors, and default work descriptions, then each week can be filled in from a grid built for quick time entry and review.
The invoice manager uses the tracked time to generate PDF invoices for a selected project and billing period. It groups uninvoiced entries by description, applies project rates and deposits, and keeps an invoice history with status tracking for unsent, sent, paid, and ignored invoices. Data stays local, with JSON backup and restore controls for moving or protecting the working file. Add cloud backup yourself by syncing the backup file to Google Drive, Dropbox etc.
